Originally developed in the early 1970s, the neighborhood includes a wide range of home styles and ages, from early A-frame cabins to newer custom homes. The setting is heavily forested with spruce and aspen trees and includes rocky terrain and multiple undeveloped lots.

What to Expect

Lake Purgatory has gravel roads that are maintained by the HOA and receives significant winter snowfall. Four-wheel drive is required. Properties use individual water wells and septic systems, and there is no natural gas service. Motorized boats are prohibited on the lake. The neighborhood includes an easement around Columbine Lake for owner access.
